The Company

The Flow Research Collective is a rapidly growing peak performance research and training organization focused on the neuroscience of flow states.

We train business leaders to improve their performance by accessing flow more consistently. Our Executive Director is New York Times bestselling author Steven Kotler.

Steven’s work on flow and peak performance has been featured everywhere from Harvard Business Review to Time Magazine and Forbes.

You may have seen Steven on The Joe Rogan Experience or come across one of his many bestselling books, like Stealing Fire, BOLD, ABUNDANCE & The Rise of Superman.

The Role

Having bootstrapped it’s way to an eight figure run rate in the last eighteen months, the Flow Research Collective is ready to expand its impact, and scale farther and faster. As VP of Growth Marketing will lead this effort. You’ll be tasked with designing an ironclad marketing strategy, scaling our existing channels, building out new channels, improving our messaging, elevating our positioning and taking us to the next level.


You can work from anywhere you want as our entire team is distributed.


Very competitive hourly rate per session, plus significant performance based incentives.

We are accepting applications for a VP of Marketing to join our rapidly growing team.

What Kind Of Qualifications Do You Need? 

  • You’re a deeply experienced marketing leader who’s seen it all and done it all. You have a visceral understanding of the “fundamental physics” of marketing, yet, you’re hungrier than ever to get your hands dirty and scale a rapidly growing startup to the moon
  • You have built world-class marketing teams of 10+ people, been responsible for over $50k per month in ad budget and scaled organizations from 7 to 8, 9 and even 10 figures in sales, multiple times over
  • You thrive in clouds and dirt. Air warfare and ground warfare. Strategy and execution. You can architect a decade long vision whilst dropping deep into the weeds to execute specific tasks as necessary
  • You’re strongest channels are content marketing and paid acquisition and you’re razor sharp on current industry knowledge about best practices in these channels
  • You have a tight grasp of all the technical skills required to thrive as a 21st century marketing leader, from copywriting to the fundamentals of growth hacking to marketing automation
  • You possess a beautiful balance between the various marketing skill sets needed at FRC; old school direct response, cutting-edge growth hacking and timeless storytelling
  • You have a deep understanding of how to gain and maintain “blue ocean positioning” along with how to storytell to expand our brand awareness

Who Will You Work With?

Our team is spread across the globe. Our Executive Director, Steven Kotler is in the Lake Tahoe area. Our CEO, Rian Doris, is based in Venice Beach. Our coaches are everywhere from Hawaii to Vancouver to Boston! You will report directly to Rian Doris, our CEO and interact with the rest of our epic team regularly. 

You will also be invited to come to all of our live events which we host across the globe throughout the year.
